CheQuers brings the familiar foundation of Checkers to a four-player board. The rules stay rooted in the classic game, with only the adjustments required to make four-player play work.
WHAT IS CHEQUERS?
CheQuers is the four-player version of Checkers within the Quess universe. The game keeps the classic Checkers foundation that players already know. What changes is the board: four players share the same game, each with their own territory and position to manage. You still move, capture, and plan ahead as you would in Checkers. But with three other players making decisions around the board, every move has more to consider.
“Three opponents. Four territories. One shared board.”
CheQuers does not replace Checkers with an entirely different game. It takes the familiar foundation and adapts it for a four-player board.
CheQuers keeps the rules of classic checkers at its core. The four-player board only requires one important adjustment: how a checker reaches promotion.
If you already know Checkers, the foundation is familiar. The main difference is learning to read a four-sided board with three other players making moves around you.
Take your place on one of the four territories.
Three other players are now making decisions that can affect your position.
Use the familiar rules of Checkers while accounting for the wider board.
The board can change quickly when more than two players are involved.
When a checker enters an opponent’s domain, it continues moving forward through that domain until it is promoted. Once it reaches the promotion area, it becomes a king.
